The System Didn’t Fail Just One Family.

My son is not the only reason I wrote The Illusion of ATV Safety.

He is the reason I began asking questions.

But as I dug deeper, I discovered something much larger than our family’s tragedy.

A Nationwide Safety Crisis

Many children have lost their lives on ATVs. Many families have experienced the same devastating loss.

This is not an isolated problem. It is a nationwide safety issue that has affected families across the country.

For decades, children have continued to be killed and seriously injured on machines that can be too large, too heavy, and too powerful for them to safely operate. And despite years of warnings, recommendations, regulations, and industry standards, the problem has continued.

An Isolated Accident or a Systemic Failure?

That raises a difficult question:

If the same thing keeps happening to families across the country, should we continue to view each tragedy as an isolated accident?

I don't believe we can.

My son’s story is one family’s story. But it is also a window into a system that has failed many families.

That is why I wrote this book.
